“But if we hope for what is still unseen by us, we wait for it with patience and composure.” Romans 8:25 AMP
This scripture really gets at the grace part of faith. To me it describes how to walk in faith gracefully. As we walk forward with a listening ear for God’s direction – into the unknown, sight unseen – it is to be with patience and composure.
Patience: 1. An ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay. 2. Quiet, steady perseverance; even tempered care; diligence.
Composure: Serene, self-controlled state of mind; calmness; tranquility.
To accomplish this it requires a focus in the Spirit, on God’s plan, in a state of complete trust. Otherwise fear, doubt, worry and anxiety start to creep in.
