Seven Senses

Posted on

Hoarding books with a pair eyes
Seeping like a sponge

Listen with a pair of
Sharp rabbit-like ears

Sensing every surrounding
Quiet as a stone aware of potential danger

Sniff extensively
Aware of poisonous or edible consumption

Tasting every life experiences
Lead to self-realization and understand others

Perceive others through observations
Conclude presumptions as sixth senses

Not forgetting to trust the Creator
Self-commitment to trust Jesus in all ways

Reading books are my ways to learn to do things. Upon coming to know The Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible is my daily spiritual food and compass. This poetry commence its birth with the first stanza. As I return to it and write my inspiration, I am challenged to explore all five senses. Next is to sixth senses and lead to the seventh sense to learn to trust Jesus albeit unforeseen circumstances. God bless you all for reading my poetry to minister.

Hikari Yori
Suddenly, the idea of defining con acronym came “Caught Off Guard” except for letter n. According to the free dictionary, con means

  1. involving abuse of confidence; deceitfully manipulative: a con trick.
  2. to swindle; trick.
  3. to persuade by deception, cajolery, etc.
    Li>a confidence game or swindle.
  • a lie, exaggeration, or glib self-serving talk.

Yori’s acrostic poetry gave me the visual idea of the devil’s deception described by Jesus in the book of gospel. After communicating with Yiri cia email, inspirations flowed out as I continued writing it down.

Wet Tissue Roll

Posted on

Sprayer pour drops of water
Enjoying the cold shower
Under the hot weather
Draping towel to dry
From head to toe
Covering with clothes

Hours later
Needing to do bowel movement
Pulling out hand to tissue roll
Astonished of its wetness
Oh! The tissue is wet
Forced to use it
Sliding open the bathroom door
Questioning of wet tissue roll
Then back to own room

Huh?
What happen?
Days passed
Tissue roll increase in wetness
But no wetness when she shower
Analyzing bathroom after the questioner showers
Investigating the root cause like detective
Only to find out
Shower sprayer angle towards tissue roll

Likewise
Blinded by own self justification
Without God’s Word as compass guide
To correct our inside
We are opening to the devil’s traps
May lead to our fall
Steep downhill fall

My friend confided that her tissue roll was wet because her mother in law asked. This question continually lingered in her and scratching her head. Then she realised the angle of the shower head was facing towards the tissue roll. No wonder this turned the dry tissue to wet tissue. Hoping that I will express it in poetry for her and to see my conclusion and inspiration.

Cutting Words

Posted on

Cut! Cut! Cut!
Attempting to explain
Cut! Cut! Cut!
Attempting to explain
To seek the truth
By asking my son’s stance
Instead of assuming
Assuming he wriggles like a dog
In front of his grandma’s door

Cut! Cut! Cut!
This irked me to the core
Cutting my words
To justify her actions
Cutting my words
Insisting her own mindset
Insisting her own way
Babbling like a train
Instead of peaceful discussion
Cutting my words
With her ears closed
With her mouth closed
With her eyes closed
Refusing to listen
Refusing to see
The right perspective

How many times
Do our hearts are
Closed to God’s love
Closed to see God
Closed to find rest
In Jesus Christ?

This kind of conversation irritated me for keeping on cutting my explanation instead of listening after she blabbered. She was furious of revenge from her grandson to hit back. She was angry for him to hit his own dad.

When I probed my son and asked caringly, he responded he hit his dad playfully. His dad often played with him acting like a bad guy so he wanted to play that with his dad. Unexpectedly, she hit him for doing so and the revenge occurred. Heated arguments with my son and disciplined him, but he dashed to my mother out of fear.
