My dad explained and comforted my toddler who is fearful of thunder whenever it occurs during the middle of the night. He shrieked in fear, begged to sleep on my bed with his dad. After the thunder had died down, either my husband or I will put him back to his cot. I shared this experience to my dad.
Upon returning home from a night class, my toddler said to me, “不害怕gong gong. Gong gong放屁”. Through his words, a poem is birthed and later on I tried to revised it and translate to English.
How many times God comforts us not to be fearful of our circumstances? Just trust in Him and go to Him in prayer. We can see God’s mighty hand in the Old Testament and in the book of the Gospel where Jesus comforts His disciples upon calming the storm (Mark 4:35-41).
