What is more dangerous than anger?

Posted on

This is a serious issue in anger and it is important to stop it from destroying yourself. Why do I say so? Most people have the tendency to destroy others. That is how the prince of darkness manipulate anger in people’s hearts to sin against the Creator of this earth.

SUCCESS INSPIRERS' WORLD

IMG_3875I wonder what can be more dangerous than anger!

Do you know that anger can destroy you? Yes, it can. Anger can destroy your marriage.

It can destroy your home.

It can destroy your career.

It can destroy you.

Anger has destroyed many people.

Once I met someone who was so angry he could hardly speak sense. At another time I saw two gentlemen in a very bitter exchange of words just because of anger. They were dying under the yoke of anger.

A great man once said, ‘When a man strikes in anger he usually misses his mark.’ He is right; just like the man who says ‘people who fly into a rage always make a bad landing.’

Uncontrolled anger can be very dangerous. It can cause great harm. It can even destroy a nation. It can destroy the world.

There are people who are having problems in their…

Micah 5:15 “And I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath on the nations which have not obeyed.” help me to produce AW acronym. And even Nahum 1:2 “A jelly and avenging God is The Lord; The Lord is avenging and Wrathful. The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserves wrath for His enemies”. In your anger
Do not bang the door
In your anger
Do not hit
In your anger
Do not kick

In your rage
Avoid fight
In your rage
Avoid quarrel
In your rage
Avoid strife

In your greed
Stop stealing
In your greed
Stop robbing
In your greed
Stop envy

In your jealousy
Bite your tongue
In your bitterness
Hold your hands and feet
In your wrath
Embrace God’s love

In all
Be kind
Be gentle
Be tender-hearted
Be forgiving
Dispel darkness from within
Don’t let the devil reign in your heart
Beware of sins knocking at your heart
By receiving Lord Jesus Christ
Letting the Holy Spirit to soften your heart
With God’s love all day
Living for Him
Letting His strength to be upon our weakness

This began with a guest staying in my house. Upon seeing my parents sat together in the kitchen, she banged the door (due to jealousy) then went out. Normally, she wouldn’t bang the door before my dad came. So I was thinking to add into the house rule, “In your anger, please do not bang the door.” Actually, this idea is inspired from Ephesians 4:22-32 (KJV), “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Sad

Sadness feelings wave us away from our self identity
But
Sadness feelings wake us up from our harmful ways

Toxin to Nerve

Shattered and tattered confidence
For losing the battle
The battlefield of mind
To withstand temptations
Someone is
Losing self-confidence
Losing nerve
To live in this hopeless world
To live in this competitive world

Frustration sets in
Jealousy enters from eyes
Boiling with resentment
Brimming with anger
Heart starts to beat very fast
Whole body feels very tense
Nerves tweak tightly
Nervous
The situation is really
That person is really
Getting on someone’s nerve.

STOP!
Do not do anything rash.
Remove the toxins!

I have been questioning the reason of the idiom “getting on my nerve” so I checked it from the dictionary. Then another idiom, which is the antonym of it (second paragraph), inspired me. The second paragraph was birthed out first, but it seemed like the sequel of the first paragraph. Manga is the source of inspiration where I can see different characters in different situation. Kare-Kano is one of them.

The above poetry is trying to depict someone who has a competitive spirit and dislike people who are better than them. The first and second paragraphs are from the second person point of view. Last paragraph is from the third person point of view, a close friend.

Anger

When angry, don’t say anything.
Bring it quickly to God.
Pray the Lord’s prayer.
Confide with God.
Converse with him.

Humble yourselves before God.
Seek God for forgiveness.
Pray for His supplication.
Pray for His comfort.
Then our anger subsides
And forgiveness sets into our hearts.
Quarrel is prevented.

The importance to confide in God is to enable us to get over our anger with the help of the Holy Spirit. Asking God for forgiveness for our sins for being selfish and then enable us to forgive those who cause us angry. Angry with people means that they have hurt our self-interest without our realization. Within a few minutes, words of comfort come and the root cause of our anger subsides. This is based on my experience on Wednesday night, which is on 17 August 2011.

This can be observed from

  1. James 4:1, “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?”
  2. Proverbs 17:14, “Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.”
  3. Proverbs 17:19, “Whoever loves a quarrelloves sin; whoever builds a high gate invites destruction.”
  4. Proverbs 18:1, “An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends and against all sound judgment starts quarrels.”
  5. Proverbs 20:3, “It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.”
  6. Ephesians 4:30-32, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Shadow

Under whose shadow do I want to hide?
Under the shadow of fear?
Under the shadow of envy?
Under the shadow of bitterness?
Under the shadow of anger?
Under the shadow of hatred?
Under the shadow of emptiness?
Under the shadow of hopelessness?

No, NO!
I don’t want to live under those shadows.
But I feel powerless to do so.

Oh I wish to live…
Under the shadow of hope.
Under the shadow of joy.
Under the shadow of love.
Under the shadow of peace.

Where is that shadow?
Where can I find such shadow?
Where is the shadow of light that I longed for?
Where?
Where?!
