Seven Senses

Posted on

Hoarding books with a pair eyes
Seeping like a sponge

Listen with a pair of
Sharp rabbit-like ears

Sensing every surrounding
Quiet as a stone aware of potential danger

Sniff extensively
Aware of poisonous or edible consumption

Tasting every life experiences
Lead to self-realization and understand others

Perceive others through observations
Conclude presumptions as sixth senses

Not forgetting to trust the Creator
Self-commitment to trust Jesus in all ways

Reading books are my ways to learn to do things. Upon coming to know The Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible is my daily spiritual food and compass. This poetry commence its birth with the first stanza. As I return to it and write my inspiration, I am challenged to explore all five senses. Next is to sixth senses and lead to the seventh sense to learn to trust Jesus albeit unforeseen circumstances. God bless you all for reading my poetry to minister.

Do we have a sense of acute awareness
Towards God’s heart and will?
In every situation?
In every area of our lives?

“Acute awareness” came when I wake up one minute earlier before my son woke up asking to pass motion.

Envious to Devious

Posted on

Beware of envious eyes
Guard from devious paths

Identify the envious eyes
Trapped inside your heart
Avoid the devious paths
Laid before your eyes

Aware!
Beware!

The word “devious” from Proverbs 2:15, “Whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways” sparked my imagination. It began with, “Envious Devious” rhyming in my mind. But the poetry flowed out on Friday midnight.
