Countries, races, families and individuals imminently have war against each other. The rise of self importance increases with every breakthrough but forgetting those who are in dire need of help. These elements are the mark of the birth of this poetry. God bless you all for reading my poetry to minister.

Walking Cup

My mother is looking for her cup. Upon finding her cup, she asked the culprit who moved her cup. My helper replied honestly yet respectful that nobody moved it except the owner. Then she responded jokingly with a question whether her cup has legs to walk. Our helper laughed with us. Being inspired with this case, I begin to see people being blinded to own fault. My imagination grew in how eyes, eyebrows, mouth, hands and feet popped out. Blaming others. God bless you all for reading my poetry to minister.

Hikari Yori
Suddenly, the idea of defining con acronym came “Caught Off Guard” except for letter n. According to the free dictionary, con means

  1. involving abuse of confidence; deceitfully manipulative: a con trick.
  2. to swindle; trick.
  3. to persuade by deception, cajolery, etc.
    Li>a confidence game or swindle.
  • a lie, exaggeration, or glib self-serving talk.

    Tojiru Yoshiko
Yori’s acrostic poetry gave me the visual idea of the devil’s deception described by Jesus in the book of gospel. After communicating with Yiri cia email, inspirations flowed out as I continued writing it down.

Modern Era

Entering the modern era
Liberalism are enforced
Parting money in order to earn more money
Unlike olden days where bartering is enforced

Focus on money blinds the heart
Focus on money crime rate increases
Focus on money lead to selfishness
Focus of money kills conscience
Focus on money lead to dishonest gains
Fearful, hungry, and thirsty hearts
Smeared conscience
Living fearfully
Darkness envelops whole beings
Devil instigates and continually lies to the minds
Evil reigns and feet rush to evil

Unless focus on the Creator
Trust in Him
Following His statutes and ordinances as our worship to our Saviour
Earning money is gained honestly as our worship to our Lord
Love, Care and concern in the community
Remaining in His love
Basked in His bountiful love
Joyful dance in expressing our love to our Lord
Hearts are free from fear
Continuum peaceful and satisfied hearts
Righteousness prevails
No foothold for the devil to reign

Wet Tissue Roll

Posted on

Sprayer pour drops of water
Enjoying the cold shower
Under the hot weather
Draping towel to dry
From head to toe
Covering with clothes

Hours later
Needing to do bowel movement
Pulling out hand to tissue roll
Astonished of its wetness
Oh! The tissue is wet
Forced to use it
Sliding open the bathroom door
Questioning of wet tissue roll
Then back to own room

Huh?
What happen?
Days passed
Tissue roll increase in wetness
But no wetness when she shower
Analyzing bathroom after the questioner showers
Investigating the root cause like detective
Only to find out
Shower sprayer angle towards tissue roll

Likewise
Blinded by own self justification
Without God’s Word as compass guide
To correct our inside
We are opening to the devil’s traps
May lead to our fall
Steep downhill fall

My friend confided that her tissue roll was wet because her mother in law asked. This question continually lingered in her and scratching her head. Then she realised the angle of the shower head was facing towards the tissue roll. No wonder this turned the dry tissue to wet tissue. Hoping that I will express it in poetry for her and to see my conclusion and inspiration.

Sow to Reap

Selfishness blind the hearts
Selfishness blind the minds
Full of self seeking
Without realizing
Greed, Hatred, Pride, Self justification grip the eyes
Nothing else satiates one’s void heart
These causing oneself
Groping in darkness
Sowing evil seeds
Evil ones torment oneself
Wicked living
Living in hell of conscience
Reaping unquenchable fire

Fear of the Lord open the hearts
Fear of the Lord open the minds
Full of caring others
Without realizing
Love, Care, Concern, Peace, Kindness, Goodness, Longsuffering,
Gentleness, Patience, Joy, Understanding, and Self Control grip the eyes
Nothing else satiates one’s full heart
These causing oneself
Brisk in the light
Sowing good seeds
Basking in God’s love
Righteous living
Living in paradise of conscience
Reaping heavenly rewards

Open your eyes
Which one is the best?
Choose what is best
What is your preference?
Any decision made?

Being in the bathroom is my favourite part of the day. It is when ideas and inspirations pop out such as images of poetry and stories. This time, “Groping in darkness Or Brisk in the light” popped out. Words flowed out upon revisiting it for two days being reminded of Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV), “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

It was a great challenge to me to define the acronym of ‘assume’ began with, “Always Seeing Someone”. According to dictionary, assume means to accept without proof; to take upon oneself; to pretend to be. Assumption means the act of assuming; unverified belief. So assumptions are not the truth until we verify its validity.

Sweet to Bitter

All sweetness of life may
Bring idleness, laziness
Cultivate such habits may
Depart from goodness
Evil beckons & knocks at the door
Falling into the trap of sins
Going after strange worships
Hiding behind the trees fearfully
Insidiously Innocence departs
Jeopardise own spiritual life
Killing own hearts from
Loving others
Melding oneself into
Nothingness and Worthlessness
Offering
Painful memories and Guilt hearts to
Question own wrong beliefs and actions
Rattling whole being
Suffering the consequences of own wrong
Towed by own actions
Under own blindness until getting
Venomous bite at heart and conscience as a
Wake Up call to avoid evil and
Xerox our Lord Jesus Christ to
Yearn for God’s kingdom to come
Zealously pleasing Him in hearts, minds, and actions

“Depart from goodness. Evil beckons. Evil knocks at the door” spoke in my mind. As I wrote it down, more words came. Unexpectedly, alphabetical poetry is produced. More words dropped into my mind as I revisited it repeatedly and prayerfully.

Ego

Ego

Ego

Is ego or pride stopping us from reaching out to God?
Is ego or pride blinding us to the Truth?
Is ego or pride covering our eyes to see the world’s brokenness?
Is ego or pride covering our eyes to see our own frailty?
Is ego or pride preventing us from reflecting upon our motivations?
So can’t we push our ego aside?

Inspiration On: Saturday, 16 March 2013 at 1:51am

In dictionary, ego means
1. the “I” or self of any person; a person as thinking, feeling, and willing, and distinguishing itself from the selves of others and from objects of its thought.
2. Psychoanalysis . the part of the psychic apparatus that experiences and reacts to the outside world and thus mediates between the primitive drives of the id and the demands of the social and physical environment.
3. egotism; conceit; self-importance: Her ego becomes more unbearable each day.
4. self-esteem or self-image; feelings: Your criticism wounded his ego.
5. (often initial capital letter) Philosophy

  • the enduring and conscious element that knows experience.
  • Scholasticism. the complete person comprising both body and soul.

Albert Einstein did mention,
“More the knowledge
Lesser the ego,
Lesser the knowledge
More the Ego”

Basically, ego means “I” is more important and what is inside will come out. Some people will tend to praise themselves and look down upon people by finding their faults. Until to the point that I can’t stand them and telling a friend to try to look at people’s goodness side. Nobody is perfect.

Opposite Choices

Posted on

Opposite powers at work
Facing two choices
Two opposite choices
Only can choose either one
Either one
Only one
Just one:

When choose light
Everything are full of light
Everything are indeed bright
Every path becomes clearer
Heart is filled with peace.

When choose darkness
Face is eclipsed from the truth
Clamored from the world
Inside is raging
Raging against everyone
Everyone who rebukes
Heart is full of blindness
Blindfolded mind from the truth
Stubborn!
Absolutely biased!

Which one
Which choice
Is the light or dark?
Wise counsel or darken counsel?
Which one to follow?

In the morning, I wrote down the visuals from my dream so the poetry
began, “Opposite powers at work
Face is eclipsed from the truth
Clamoured from the world” then I visited this many times without any inspirations. After I let it rest for a few days, words flowed out upon visiting this again. As I wrote down, the book of Proverbs spoke to me. Thank God and praise God.

Blind & Eye

The blind leading the blind
The blind leading the eye
Instead of
The eye leading the blind

The blind leading the eye
So both fall into the pit
Pit of darkness

To the blind
Please heed the eye’s instruction
Do not insist your ways
Spare the agony
Be thankful
To the eye.

Whenever I thought of my husband’s words about his problem at work, the above first inspiration comes. His supervisor insisted in doing his own ways rather than listening to my husband’s advises so delays occurred upon the construction work. Then the Scripture came upon me, Matthew 15:14 is the source of my inspiration. And I realise how many times we should not ignore counsels and warnings from those who live longer than us.
