Cutting Words

Posted on

Cut! Cut! Cut!
Attempting to explain
Cut! Cut! Cut!
Attempting to explain
To seek the truth
By asking my son’s stance
Instead of assuming
Assuming he wriggles like a dog
In front of his grandma’s door

Cut! Cut! Cut!
This irked me to the core
Cutting my words
To justify her actions
Cutting my words
Insisting her own mindset
Insisting her own way
Babbling like a train
Instead of peaceful discussion
Cutting my words
With her ears closed
With her mouth closed
With her eyes closed
Refusing to listen
Refusing to see
The right perspective

How many times
Do our hearts are
Closed to God’s love
Closed to see God
Closed to find rest
In Jesus Christ?

This kind of conversation irritated me for keeping on cutting my explanation instead of listening after she blabbered. She was furious of revenge from her grandson to hit back. She was angry for him to hit his own dad.

When I probed my son and asked caringly, he responded he hit his dad playfully. His dad often played with him acting like a bad guy so he wanted to play that with his dad. Unexpectedly, she hit him for doing so and the revenge occurred. Heated arguments with my son and disciplined him, but he dashed to my mother out of fear.

My son wants his grandma so badly to say, “受不了” to my mum who just stepped into the house. He said that he was jealous yesterday when my mom went out with my dad. I wonder and wonder. Can we say that to our Lord? Does the Lord also feel the same towards us?

Poetry Burst Forth & Gushes Out

As the pool of water burst to bubbles,
Poetries burst forth from life experiences
Poetries burst forth in my walk of faith
Poetries burst forth through observations
Poetries gush out from our inner-self
Poetries gush out from our hearts
Poetries gush out from our minds
Poetries of poetry
Telling every detail

Every detail of events
Every details of actions
Every detail of wishes
Every detail of dreams
Every detail of pains
Every detail of despairs
Every detail of sorrows
Every detail of tragedies
Every detail of joy
Every detail of love
Every detail of hope.

All these burst forth.
All these gush out.

Writer’s block came upon me after I wrote down my imagination, “As the pool of water burst to bubbles, Poetries burst forth from life experiences. Poetries burst forth in my walk of faith”. But the rest of the words flowed out while I was accompanying my mother to a community dinner.

Silence

Usually,
Silence means agree
But
Silence may mean disagreement.
Silence may mean strife preventative.

When verbal attack
During verbal attack
Silence may means disagreement
Silence may means strife preventative
Silence may means quarrel avoidance
Especially with a difficult people
With those who are trying to
Stir and create quarrel and trouble.

When a middle-aged woman was trying to make me angry, thank God to keep me calm through His Holy Spirit. Upon informing my parents, they were angry with me. Later on, my dad analysed the situation and laughed because I didn’t fall into that scheming woman’s trap. I hope that my Lord will be glorified. My dad analysed it slowly that there was no reaction from me made that scheming woman felt lost and couldn’t pick a fight. He explained it to my mum in a funny way so that my mum will learn from it. I also never expect that from my Lord. All glory to God.

Dirt, Stone & Sin

Enormous hard dirt covers the ear holes
Is liken to
An enormous stone covers the cave.

Piling sins deafening hearts’ ear
Is liken to
An enormous stone covers the cave.

Someone whined to me to dig out his ear dirt. The last few days, I was aghast of his ear dirt and applied my toddler’s ear wax solution for a few days. Until yesterday, the dirt was gone after I dug out his softened ear dirt. Upon knowing it is very comfortable to have someone digs out his ear dirt, he requests it by whining like a baby. I refuse it to let him be more independent to dig his ear by himself. It has been years for him not to dig his own ears’ hole.
