O Sleeper

O sleeper
Wake up!
Arise!
Resurrect!
In the power of the Holy Spirit
Received upon accepting
Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour
Accepting His Lordship in your lives

O sleeper
Are you awakened?
Have you arisen from your sleep?
Do you resurrect from death?
Are you alive?

Praise God’s holy name
Worship Him
Declare His goodness
Count His blessings
Walk in His statutes, precepts and principles
Live in Him
Breath in Him
Depend on Him
As the branches are dependent on the vine
Trust Him to deliver
Bless His holy name
Above all
Fear and Love the Lord

Whenever I think of Lazarus and how Jesus raises the dead, “arise, resurrect” inspired me and birth out this poetry. God bless you all for reading my poetry to minister.

Dam

Dam

~ Hikari Yori

Prophet Jeremiah cried to the Lord
Seeking His help and deliverance
Pronounce curse towards those who tried to destroy him
When our dam is full of the weight of the world
Overflowing of pain and anxiety will occur
Cry to the Saviour who will lighten our burden
When we lean upon Him and His guidance
Learn to bless knowing His peace

Jeremiah 18:23 KJV “Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger.” I was reading Jeremiah 18, first section of verse 23 produce the acronym DAM. According to Random House Kernerman Webster’s College Dictionary, dam means

  1. A barrier to obstruct the flow of water, esp. one of earth, masonry, etc., built across a stream or river
  2. A body of water confined by a dam
  3. Any barrier resembling a dam
  4. To furnish with a dam; obstruct or confine with a dam
  5. To stop up; block up

Damaged RAM vs Dead Fish

Blank monitor screen!
System failure!
Is it the motherboard?!
Diagnosing and troubleshooting.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting again.
OH! It is just
A bar of RAM is damaged!
Removing it
The computer system is alive again.

Floating, floating.
Floating around the aquarium.
A fish body is turned upside down.
OH! It is
A dead fish!
REMOVE!
REMOVE!
Or else,
The whole fishes will also die.

Smearing of conscience!
Darkness dispels out.
Dirt floats onto the river.
Unknown sin appears out.
REMOVE!
REMOVE!
Receive Christ,
Receive cleansing through His blood.
Or else,
Clear conscience deadens,
Covered in darkness,
Poisonous river,
Harming and affecting others.

At first, I thought that the motherboard was damaged. My heart felt down. As I was troubleshooting my computer CPU, I was reminded about the RAM. Then I tried removing each of the two bars of RAM. When I found out that a bar of computer RAM was the one affecting the whole system down, the above inspiration birthed out. Followed by the concept of a dead fish in the aquarium. My heart feels joyful and satisfied that my hard work is not in vain. Thank God for that.

Japanese Movie “Nada Sô Sô” (2006)

Yotaro lived sacrificially for his sister’s sake in order to keep his promise to his beloved mum before her deathbed, but he also work hard to earn income to fulfil his dream to open a restaurant.

On the day to open his dream restaurant, suddenly the real land owner appeared. Then he realized that Mr. Kameoka was a swindler. This ended him with a big debt to settle. His dream was dashed.

This shows he is a gentleman, responsible, honours his words, respectful, honest, and a hardworking man.

For the sake of paying his debts, he worked hard day and night until he lost his health. Despite his fever, for the sake of protecting his sister during typhoon, he ignored it and went to her rescue and lose his life at the age of 25.

This is indeed a love in action.

Suddenly, James Chapter 2 verse 17 to 20 came to my mind, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”

The first book of Corinthians Chapter 13 verse 4 to 7 speaks about love, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

My mind starts to wonder,
Is this what a disciple of Christ supposed to do?

James 2:17-20 “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

So the moral of the story is love in action.
