Cloak Opens

Posted on

Hiding in the cloak of
Being docile physically
Lost in thoughts
Self-doubting
Negative feelings
Amassed frustrations
Amassed rage
Are
Larva magma
Amassed gradually
Without avenue to
Pour these out
Amassed into whole mountains
Without a confidant to
Pour these out

Unbearable
Peak reaches its height
Unable to contain any longer
Larva magma
BURST FORTH!

A day of
Devastation
Diabolical
Destruction
Devouring
Innocent
Trees
Flowers
Animals
People
Beside the mountains

Beware!
Seek God
Confide to our Shepherd
Confide to our Lord Jesus Christ
Who saves us from the pangs of sin

Words birthed out of me, “Devastation Diabolical Destruction Emerge Cloak” as my imagination floating around. Then other words flowed out as I surrender to my imagination.

Deeply Ingrained Memories

Posted on

Deeply ingrained memories
Memories kept in a box
Unravelling the box of memories . . .

Memories of love
Memories of friendship
Memories of happiness
Memories of joyfulness
Memories of gladness
Memories of peacefulness
Memories of living on the mountains.

Memories of rejection
Memories of hurt
Memories of sadness
Memories of frustrations
Memories of depressions
Memories of despair in life
Memories of darkness in life
Memories of living in the dark valleys.

All these are a parcel of life.
Trust in God, o my soul.

Out of a sudden, the words “Deeply ingrained” came while I was listening to the Doxology hymn during brushing my teeth. Other words came on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and finally today.

Toxin to Nerve

Posted on

Shattered and tattered confidence
For losing the battle
The battlefield of mind
To withstand temptations
Someone is
Losing self-confidence
Losing nerve
To live in this hopeless world
To live in this competitive world

Frustration sets in
Jealousy enters from eyes
Boiling with resentment
Brimming with anger
Heart starts to beat very fast
Whole body feels very tense
Nerves tweak tightly
Nervous
The situation is really
That person is really
Getting on someone’s nerve.

STOP!
Do not do anything rash.
Remove the toxins!

I have been questioning the reason of the idiom “getting on my nerve” so I checked it from the dictionary. Then another idiom, which is the antonym of it (second paragraph), inspired me. The second paragraph was birthed out first, but it seemed like the sequel of the first paragraph. Manga is the source of inspiration where I can see different characters in different situation. Kare-Kano is one of them.

The above poetry is trying to depict someone who has a competitive spirit and dislike people who are better than them. The first and second paragraphs are from the second person point of view. Last paragraph is from the third person point of view, a close friend.

Inner Emotion

When you are downcast,
frustration sets in,
the words that you regretted to say,
Really speaks the truth about you inner emotion.
