In your anger
Do not bang the door
In your anger
Do not hit
In your anger
Do not kick

In your rage
Avoid fight
In your rage
Avoid quarrel
In your rage
Avoid strife

In your greed
Stop stealing
In your greed
Stop robbing
In your greed
Stop envy

In your jealousy
Bite your tongue
In your bitterness
Hold your hands and feet
In your wrath
Embrace God’s love

In all
Be kind
Be gentle
Be tender-hearted
Be forgiving
Dispel darkness from within
Don’t let the devil reign in your heart
Beware of sins knocking at your heart
By receiving Lord Jesus Christ
Letting the Holy Spirit to soften your heart
With God’s love all day
Living for Him
Letting His strength to be upon our weakness

This began with a guest staying in my house. Upon seeing my parents sat together in the kitchen, she banged the door (due to jealousy) then went out. Normally, she wouldn’t bang the door before my dad came. So I was thinking to add into the house rule, “In your anger, please do not bang the door.” Actually, this idea is inspired from Ephesians 4:22-32 (KJV), “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Dip

Death knocks at our physical body.
In Immanuel we find . . .
Peace knowing our spirit find rest in Him and united with our Lord.

Philippians 1:21-22 (KJV)
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

Suddenly, “Die in peace” produced the acronym of DIP struck my mind. Then the next stanza spoke to me with the picture in my mind – knocking hand onto a door.

Work Of My Hands

May Thy beauty
May Thy love
May Thy work
May Thy grace
May Thy mercy
May Thy loving kindness
May Thy goodness
Be seen
Be observed
Be clear
In the sight of the world
Be felt
Be experienced
In the hearts of mankind.

May the work of my hands
Is in accordance to Thine’s will
May the work of my hands
Be acceptable in Thy sight
May the work of my hands
Be in Thine’s ways.

“Work of my hands,” are the beginning words in my mind. When I read today’s Scripture, I am enthralled by Psalm 90:12-17, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning Thy servants. O satisfy us early with Thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein Thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, and Thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish Thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it.”

Smile in the Night

Posted on

In the dark blue sky
White mouth smiles
Smiling brightly
Smiling to everyone
Instilling warmth to the onlookers.
A smile in the night.

The crescent of the moon
Reflects the Sun’s light
Causing it to shine
Shine among darkness.
A smile in the night.

Oh! We like moon
Needing the Sun
To give us love
To give us warmth
To give us hope
To shine His light
Through us
To point the lost
To point the people grope in darkness
To Him
To His loving hands
To be saved.
A light in the night.

Upon observing tonight’s sky in the night, the words “smile in the night” spoke to me. Then I feel its relation with Christ and Christian to the Sun and the moon.

Staggering heart turns to Stable heart
Struggling hands turns to Strong hands
Striving mind turns to persevering mind
Surviving spirit turns to living spirit
Soul is bounded, but is freed.
Attempting to live life to the fullest.
I’m learning to live life to the fullest.
“Indeed, life is lived to the full.” That’s what I heard.
Through His strength upon us.
As He walk with me through the dark valleys,
Valleys of the shadows of death.
My heart feels peace with His presence.

I was contemplating of life’s difficulties. Seems that there is a cycle of life phases that most people have to go through. And I keep trusting God to see me through. Many testimonies testify of God’s goodness and faithfulness upon their lives. Furthermore, I am inspired from Psalms 23.

Here Am I

Intro
Stuck among the swamps
Stuck between two breads like sandwich
Insurmountable pressures of life are pressing
Conceited jealous people are pursuing me
Shouting among the crowds
Here am I
I am here

Chorus
Here am I
I am here

Here I am, O Lord.
Here I am, save me.
I am here, needing Your grace.

Here am I
Save me

Here I am
Choose me
I am here
Lead me.

Chorus
Here am I
I am here

Chorus
Here am I
I am here

Hold me in Your hands and embrace.
Teach me and Guide me here.
Here am I, save me.

While playing flags with my 25 months old toddler near the window, suddenly an inspiration came to me to label a flag “Here am I, I am here” out of the window to inform my future friends who are coming to my flat for cell group meeting. Oh I wish to host cell group meeting at my home.

Afterwards, more cries came upon me – he pressures of life in family, relationships, and even work. Feeling stuck with numerous tasks at hand reminded me of stuck in the swamp and attempted to rise out of it. But it is a futile attempt when the swamp is swallowing your body. You need a Saviour to save you by pulling you out of it.

The scripture from Isaiah 6:8 “Here am I; send me” also partly inspires the above songs. Though the context of the Scripture is Isaiah’s willingness to listen to God’s calling as a prophet, the above song is to call upon God to save the souls who are crying desperately to Him and embrace God’s salvation through Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

The above song suddenly played in my mind after reading two chapters of the book titled, “A Parent’s Guide to Preventing Homosexuality” and was going to sleep. It began from, “You are mine, I am Yours” then “For nobody can snatch you from My hand”. Slowly, more songs flows out.

Inspiration also comes from the word Jesus spoke in John 10:27-29 NIV, “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
