Consequences of Actions

Posted on

Piles of wood circling a tent
Flames burn on the piles of wood
A tent is circled by flames
Camping in the middle of the forest
Wild animals keep away from them

Ten ladies sleep in the tent peacefully
Exhausted with their retreat
Retreat in having quiet time
As their tent lean against a large sturdy tree

Alas, there is a hole on top of the tent
An undaunted slender young cobra
Hops from trees to trees with its tail
Targeting the tree where the tree is
Swinging its body in triumph
Then it abruptly drops itself into the tent’s hole

Thump!
It falls onto a lady’s face with its stuck out tongue
Waken
That light sleeper lady
Shrieks sharply in fear

Everyone wakes up
A brave fighter lady
Grabs the young cobra’s head
Sandwich cobra’s head
To prevent it from opening its jaw
Others cooperate and grab its body to tail
Leaving the fearful stoned light sleeper lady
They left the tent

In the count to three
They throw the poor snake
Into the hot burning flames
Rushing back into the tent
Sterilizing their hands from bacteria
Regaining their peace
Soothing the frightened frozen lady

In the hot burning tall flames
The poor young cobra
Cries and regretting for being
Too curious
Too haughty
As it turns to ashes instantly
As its friends watch in horror
Fearful of such predicament
Regretting their actions for
Sneering the poor young cobra

The young cobras return home
Confessing their sins to their parents
Their parents seek the poor young cobra’s parents
Seeking their forgiveness

The cobras’ parents resent them
Kick them out of the nest
Sobbing of their beloved two years old young cobra’s predicament
They left with disappointed looks
Return to their nests and discipline their young cobras

This story played in my imagination supposedly to be humour. Unexpectedly, the story continues to concentrate upon the cobra unravelling its reason to do so. Then I realised that the poor young cobra signifies the folly of youth and the bullying happen during schooldays. Pride causes downfall.

Missed Which Boat

Wedding bells ring
Missed the career boat
New family caregiver
Problems with mother in law
Lifelong struggle of either finance and love or abuse
If husband’s contribution loses existence, wife ends as job seeker and
child care
Best to have partner around

Career minded
Missed the wedding boat
Parents caregiver
Problems in finding partner
Lifelong struggle of loneliness
If parents lose existence, loneliness creeps in
Best to have parents around

Which boat to miss?
Which path to tread?
A dilemma
A dilemma

Can’t we choose both?
To provide for children
Can’t we choose both?
Just like in Proverbs 31
To provide for the family
In case of rainy days

According to my observation, the women are always in a dilemma position. Either path seems imperfect. Each path has its own risk. The reason to use “lose existence” instead of “disappear” will give a stronger word. It can mean loses job, pass away or divorce.

An Over-Exert Lady

Posted on
Though a slow learner girl, hardworking is one of her traits. A motto, “I can’t do it, but I must overcome it and able to do it!” starts when she was drowned into a swimming pool at the age of three.
During her schooldays, mathematics is one of her favourite subjects with Chemistry comes second. She dislikes subjects that need to be memorised. Geography and history are the hardest subjects for her due to the need to remember the map and year.
As years passed by, it was the time for her to study diploma in Computing. Programming module is the hardest module to understand because she couldn’t grasp the logic behind it. But upon her cousin’s patient guidance, she came to love it because she could comprehend the logic. In order to avoid the selective memorisation modules during her bachelor’s studies, she chose the programming selective modules.
Undaunted by her drowned experience, she persistently learn how to swim from her father in a warm water swimming pool with her siblings. Believing herself to be able to master the swimming frog strokes, by faith she jumped twice into the adult section of the swimming pool. Though drowned, but she managed to keep herself afloat. Thank God for His mercy for always sending someone to save her. Ten years later, she is able to swim well until today. With that, she is very delighted and satisfied. Then she is still learning other types of swimming strokes.
Finally, during her marriage life she implements her motto upon buying a $24 Antonius four drawer container for household, she bought it at Ikea around Tampines since she was nearby attending a toy workshop. Without knowing how it looks like, she immediately bought it only to find out that the delivery charge is $50 after make the payment. She tied and carried it all the way to Expo without informing her husband for assistance. Upon reaching there, he was shocked to see the drawers. In the end, they couldn’t buy a lot of baby food. Moreover, she lost her puppet’s eye and an arm. Only after shower, her shoulders, back, and ankles were aching. These lasted for a few days. This is the most painful experience, but also a lesson for her not to over-exert herself.
So the moral of the story is
Though forcing oneself is strength, but it is also a weakness.
Your own strength can become your own weakness, but your weakness will also turn out to be strength.
This story is based on a true story.
