Dove in Love

Posted on

Love from God descends upon Mary’s womb like a
Dove descends upon Jesus Christ after His baptism

Holy Spirit comes from God to strengthen us in love
Holy Spirit is manifested in the form of a gentle dove

Dove is a soft and gentle bird so let us
Love one another as Jesus has loved us

Since Lord Jesus’ love fill our aching hearts
Let us be like a dove, which is gentle in nature

Then this world is injected with love and care
Where no fight among people as dove dwells peacefully

Then this world will be filled with God’s peace and joy
Warmth fills everyone’s hearts who hungers love

Love captured my attention and my mind went through brain’s vocabulary. “Dove” is the best rhyming words due to its character traits.

Abandonment

Abandonment

Abandonment causes grievances to an adult and even a child
Such negligence in a family is fatal in the future of abandoned person
Mankind choice of abandoning God’s truth and negligence in living it out
Lead to mankind’s demise and final destruction
Seek and Remember our first love and true responsibility

Abandonment is the most painful feelings and memories. Thinking of it, some words define the acronym of abandon. But writing blocks occurred. Next day, more words define every letter and stuck again. Until the final day, all the blanks are completely filled in.

One Way Ticket

Drowned into the sea of poetry
Writing in the abyss of sea
Sipping every drop
Gulping the water

In the abyss sea of poetry
Swimming with the poetry
Enjoying every second
Enjoying every minute
Enjoying every hour

Refusing to return to the shore
Not regretting
A point of no return
To the hot arid shore
Shore without poetry
Not regretting
A point of no return
Delve into the sea of God’s love

A one way ticket
Air ticket
Living in the sky
Looking at God’s glory
Shine of glory
Captivated by His beauty
Wishing a lifestyle of obedience
To experience Jesus’ holy life
A life of joy
A life of peace
A life of heavenly voices

Lazy

Living without thinking
All tasks are abandoned
Zip all hands from work
Yearn to talk without actions

Inspiration On: Wednesday, 17 April 2013 from 7:02pm to 10:39pm

Yoshiko did mention about defining lazy so the above poetry is birthed out in response to her disagreement to Pat Cegan’s poetry in her blog so Pat suggested to her to do her version since she disagreed the part lazy people will observe. Yoshiko only managed to come out with the first line then I cover the remaining. Her disagreement can be found at Pat’s blog or as follows: “Can’t be bothered with anything. Will not lift up hands to do work. All day doing nothing. Think nothing”

Yoshiko and I were challenged to define the acronym of lazy based from the Bible. The book of Proverb is full of giving contrast between hardworking and lazy people. Then we check from the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary that lazy means unwilling to work or be active; doing as little as possible. Second meaning is not involving much energy or activity; slow and relaxed. Third is showing a lack of effort or care. Last definition is moving slowly.

Past Mistakes

Posted on

Reminded of past mistakes
Recorded past mistakes
Remember past mistakes
Looking at the past

Reminded of past mistakes
Buried in the conscience
Recorded past mistakes
Pricked conscience
Remember past mistakes
Looking at the past
Upset enters minds and hearts
Hearts filled with deep regrets
Feeling remorseful!

None!
Nothing can be done!
No undo button!
No turning back time!
Stop blaming!
Turning back time is just
A wishful thinking!

Nothing can be done!
No turning back time!
Just learn from the past
Overcome it!
Get over it!
Re-start again
To correct thy ways
To move forward
To a better future.

Hearing other’s mistakes
Learn from it
Don’t repeat it
Help them to see it
Help them to learn from it
Help them to overcome it
Help them to re-start
If they need your help
To a better future.

God’s warnings are to protect us, not to punish us and I was inspired from 1 Corinthians 10:1-11, Philippians 3:14-17 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Right vs Wrong

Right vs Wrong

Right vs Wrong

No compliment when doing right
No praise when doing right
No commendation when doing right
No thank you when doing right
Quietness when one does right
No one sees when doing right.

Nothing is right when in the wrong
Full of squabbles when being deemed wrong
Full of scolding when mistake is made
Full of nagging when being deemed wrong
Full of pointing fingers when mistake is made.

This happens in media
This happens in corporation
This happens in family.

Why?
Why?
Anybody, please tell me.

No wonder . . .
Family problems.

My mum was full of nagging because I wash my hair daily. An unforgettable memory during younger times when my mother chased me with a thin wooden rod for forgetting my studies. Uncooperative to be consistent when I discipline my child and she continually gives sweets to my toddler. I am looking for answers why she treats me so strictly though loving, but spoiling my son. Living with my dad who often scolded and butt-slapping, my siblings and I were fearful. But he seemed different when we reached teen-hood. Since young until adulthood, I received only three slaps from my dad. Very few discipline from my parents amongst my siblings. But I was deemed the weakest and the slowest among my siblings. Unexpectedly, I thank God for His strength upon me through my hard work that I received bachelor honours. Not much compliment. When I made a mistake, scolding occurred.

When I was going to attend parenting course, my parents deemed it unnecessary. As I was attending it, I came to realise my negative mindset and feelings came from one of my parents. I am trying to discipline my child when he is young now. But I also compliment him for doing what is right. Am I being too sensitive?

Tarnish

The tarnish in our lives often reminded us of our weakest moment in lives. It leaves the sense of regret besides of sense of achievements.

Tarnish

As I was thinking during my shower the weaknesses of mankind and the regrets of choosing the paths we chose, “Tarnish” came to me. So the word for R and I came first.

Then the word for S came on Wednesday midnight whenever I saw my scar on my knee for jumping on my parents’ bed before. The broken sharp pin on my their bed made a line of bloody wound on my knee.

On Thursday midnight, the word for T and H came as the picture of a paper in my mind was tainted with dots of ink, and torn paper.

On Friday midnight, “No Return” for the word N seems the best to explain that there is no opportunity to return to the past to undo what had happened.

Finally, the words for A came on Sunday. It is to express the feelings those who tarnish their hearts and hands.

Drown Sorrow

Some drown their sorrows with wine
Some drown their sorrows with drugs
Some drown their sorrows with party
Resolute to numb their feelings and senses

Feelings of deprivation
Feelings of desperation
Feelings of depression
Feelings of driven to the corner
Attempting to ignore such feelings

Sense of no purpose
Sense of unworthiness
Sense of emptiness
Sense of helplessness
Seeking to numb these senses

Causing hearts’ cry of sorrows
Sorrows to pour out
Pour out to a channel

Return to Your Maker
Seek Him
He is waiting
Waiting with an opened hands
Waiting to embrace you
Waiting for your return
Just like a hen wants to gather her chicks

He is God’s beloved Son
He is the Lord
He is Jesus Christ
He is the Saviour.

“Some drown their sorrows” and “Some to numbness” echoed in my mind while brushing my teeth after lunch. Everything stopped coming whenever I returned to it. Until Monday, the remaining flows out after my devotional. And suddenly the analogy of God’s love from Luke 13:34-35 resonates in my heart.

BRAKE!

Posted on

BRAKE! No accident.
Likewise in relationship.
Control our tongues
Stop hurting words
Quarrel is prevented
Preventing hurting hearts
Preventing escalating violence
Preventing broken homes

Promoting peaceful atmosphere
Providing safety dwellings
To the young
To the adolescents
To the adult
To the mid-aged
To the old

When conflict arises
Press the BRAKE.

When both parties
Clap hands to
Apply self control
In the strength
From Christ Jesus
Through Holy Spirit
Instill in hearts

Peace, love, and
Social order reign.

On my way home from purchasing groceries, my bicycle almost hit another biker who dashed out of a lane, but both of us pressed the brake. Suddenly, the above inspirations were birthed out and later on revise it again.

Philippians 4:13 sparked the inspiration for third paragraph.

Playing Button

Posted on

Playing switch on off button
Switching light on then off and repeat
It again in order to
Amaze and soothe his or her cries
But it will lead the
Baby to turn out to take pleasure
In touching buttons without knowing
Its electrical danger upon oneself

Running around the house to
Play power switch buttons at the surroundings
Wherever baby can find at
His sight, without realizing its danger implication

Whenever remove baby from touching
Baby will be irritated, annoyed, infuriated, and
Smoke emerged out from head
He or she is fumed with anger!
From sob turns to weeping
From weeping to wailing then to shriek
And finally to shouting in
order to get his or
her way even though to no avail
Hence, history repeats itself daily.

The caregiver of my baby plays the lights’ buttons in order to entertain my eight months old baby. Now, my baby is nineteen months often getting near the buttons to touch it. So this reminded me of the consequence of sin mentioned in Numbers 5:30-31; 9:12-14; 18:21-23; 30:14-16; Ezekiel 16:57-59; 23:34-36,48-49; 44:9-13.

Everything are tasty
when you are healthy

Through this, we learn
the frailty of human being.

Inspired On: Friday, 14 October 2011 at 9:10pm

As I was walking home with my husband, my head was spinning and aching. The food that I ate before was not as tasty as before. This is because I wasn’t well. As I was pondering about these things, the above inspiration came. Then Ecclesiastes 3:10-12 (NIV) came to mind, “I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.

Society Values

Is freedom good for the youngsters?
Saturday, 1 January 2011

Refer: Exodus 4:5-10;5:28-30;6:6-8 (KJV)

When a teenager turns to 21 year old, they are considered adult and can make his/her own decisions. I observe that nowadays the society has changed a lot from olden days.

Olden days value the sanctity of marriage and a responsible living. This also teaches the younger generation to be more responsible in their actions and decisions. No abortion. Children are being valued as a gift. Children honour and obey their parents. The grown up children provide and take good care of their old parents.

Current society starts to allow dating couple to stay together and have intimate relationship outside married. They choose not to live with their parents. All they want is to break free from the authority figures. It is regarded independent of their parents. Not just that, they feel that they can do whatever they want. No one can restrict them. This may seem trivial to most people, but it may not be the case. Virginity is not being valued anymore. This also teaches people to be irresponsible in their marriage life and take it as a game. Divorces rate are increasing. That is why there are so many broken families. Children are hurt. More of them are abandoned. Abortion is accepted. Some mothers even murder their newly born babies. Not just that, more elderly home. Old parents are abandoned by their grown up child. The grown up child only thinks for themselves, instead of caring the old.

What is the society turning into?

In Deuteronomy 5:29 “O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!” speaks about God’s heart. The reason of His commandments is meant for the well-being of ourselves and our future generations. Our authoritative figure who knows what is right and wrong may rebuke us when we are children, but it is meant for our own good. During young times, we feel restricted in what we do, but it is meant for our own good.

What I mean is not all conservative traditions are correct such as being superstitious. But their values about living, marriage, and commitment are good for us.

The best guidance for our lives can be found in God’s Word.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for letting me to grow up in a conservative family. I’m thankful for my parents to guide me with their value system. This shapes my value system and the decisions that I make. As I think back of my parents’ disciplines, now I’m thankful for it.
