Art

In olden days, painting on canvas was considered arts.
In painting and/or even photography, reality is depicted in a frame.
In olden days, art is much more profound when you enter the Catholic Church buildings.
Arts are used to visually explain of God’s redemption for the fallen mankind.
God’s love for us who are created in His image though we fall.

Philippians 4:6-9 (KJV)
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

While I was accompanying my son to watch children’s animation, I feel challenged to define ‘art’. Animation, photography, film, paintings, dance, singing, music, etc are considered art. Even animations for adults and teenagers are also arts.

Invisible & Visible

Posted on

By the Word of God
A beautiful world is created and made visible.
By the hand of artists
A beautiful painting is produced tremendously remarkable.
With the blast of powerful wind
Natural disaster produces storm, tornado, hurricane, typhoon.
With the power of sunlight
Touching the droplets of rain produces rainbow.
With the power of click
A colourful photo is captured and produced.
Electricity discovery is developed throughout
Centuries by various people’s hard work contribution
For the good of mankind
And to improve mankind’s life.

How much more do we need to
Thank the Lord for His
Eternal Gift, the Saviour of our soul
Let’s accept His Eternal Gift
Gift of Salvation in Lord Jesus Christ
Let’s bless His Holy Name.

Portrait is made visible due to the invisible electric current and the camera taker. Without it, a photo will not be produced. This creation is made visible due to the Words spoken by the Invisible God, who is not visible to our eyes. (Genesis 1)

The above inspiration comes as I kept on gazing onto the photo I have taken and was enclosed with a frame by my mother-in-law. She told me that actually she wanted to place a photo of my husband and I with our baby in a photo frame, but she couldn’t find me in my baby’s photos so my husband with his son are in the photo frame. I don’t mind. As I stared at the photo that I have taken satisfactorily, suddenly the above paragraph came to me then the haiku is birthed.

Such a Beautiful Sky

Posted on

Such a beautiful sky
Thou are magnificent
Thou painted the sky blue
It is such a perfect blue
Who can paint the sky so beautifully like Thou?

What Thou paint are visible for us to see
Thine marvellous works
Thine paintings

What the artists painted is not as beautiful as Your painting
What the artists painted is just on a piece of paper
We just replicate Your handiworks on the paper
We are just one of Your creation.

For You are the Creator of all things
Who can compare with You?
No one can compare with You.
Only Thou are the Master of all beautiful things.
