Honesty vs Liars

Posted on

There are those
Whose presumptions consume
Their mindsets and words
Rejecting and refusing
To admit their own
Faults
By
Playing as
The victim
Thus
Change the facts
Wrongly accuse of everybody
Covering their own sins searching for scapegoats

There are those
Whose conscience consume
Their mindsets and words
Accepting and acknowledging
To admit their own
Faults
By
Confessing as
The one at fault
Thus
Wallow in despair
In need of help for correction
Opening up their own sins to seek forgiveness

Through observations and experiencing relationships with other people, I seek out to find the truth from the claims of those who confide in me. May we be honest with God who sees all things and be honest with ourselves. God bless you all for reading my poetry to minister.

Dine Done

Posted on

Dine time is meal time. Once you are
Done with your food, let’s wash up

Done with your sleep, it is
Dine time again to fill stomach

Dine with your meal enjoyably
Done with your food let’s play

Done with your school, it is
Dine time again to fill stomach

Dine again is a continuum phase
Done again is also a repeated phase

Dining in relationship
Done with relationship

Dining in prayer with Heavenly Father
Done with more strength and energy

Dining in play
Done with rest

Dining in relaxation
Done with work

Dining with work
Done with rest

Done with life
Dining in eternity

Play along in dark humour lead to dark aura
Play along during strife increase conflict
Play along in unison to harm the innocent hurt own conscience
Play along to bring white humour bless the hurting
Play along to bless others’ needs reap warmth in both parties’ hearts and minds
Play and play to pass the days will not bring happiness
Play and bless others through play ministry brings purpose in us to the Lord

My son purposely slowed down and refused to change his clothes. He particularly hates a seat cover and named it “teeth”. On Sunday, our guest bought him that seat cover. Its roughness gave the feeling of teeth. Suddenly, a light bulb appeared in my mind. Scaring him that the “teeth” asked me to let it out of the storeroom to jump around the living room. Fearful noise and look, he speedily changed to pyjamas and entered the room. Unexpectedly, he talked about this to his dad. He questioned me what is “teeth”. Using my body language to ask him to sing the same tune as me. Upon reflecting this, the above poetry flowed out.

When I heard of Yoshiko’s story, “Play along” came and produced the acronym of PA, which stands for Public Announcement.

Love Is Being

Posted on

Love is being open and vulnerable
Open to give love
Vulnerable to hurts and pains
Having patience to love and
Caring the needs of being loved
Bringing peace into fearful hearts
Longsuffering to fulfill His love
Full of kindness to the sinners

Goodness abounds the sinners
Gentle to bring hope and repentance
Blessing
Self control to the receiver of love

When the sinner
Lives in darkness
Selfishness abounds
Unlovable
Hateful
Greedy
Self addict

Love is God’s care for
The mankind
His creation
To solve our
Needs for
Being
Love

Immanuel
Jesus Christ
Son of God
God incarnate
The Lord
The Messiah
The Saviour of our souls
He saves
Instill joy into our needy hearts

When the painful moment occurred, I was enjoying my play with my three years son. We were playing his favourite kitchen toy set. Dashing into my brother’s room to offer a cup of coffee. Running to and fro. Putting the pans back onto the stove. A quiet brute force knocked onto the back of my spine playfully. Extremely painful. Enough to let tears well up in my eyes. My mother in law appeared and scolded him. Leading him to run towards my mother, but she rebuked him gently. Dashed into my mother’s room. Hiding behind the bed feeling guilty (I guess). Upon the pain was gone, my hands lost strength when I attempted to turn door knob. Waiting for a few minutes, my strength returned. I gently spoke to my mother in law to let the matter rest since he is still young.

Approaching my guilt-stricken hiding son behind the bed, he seemed hesitant to come out. Fearful of his predicament. Thank God for the understanding that he is still so young and the compassion He instilled upon me. Embracing my son, gently reason with him, and explain spine was the most sensitive part of the body. Nobody should hit such vulnerable section. No hitting spine and don’t let anybody to hit his. Finally, he came out and embraced me.

Upon reflecting this in the midnight, I realised love is open and vulnerable. More words flowed out as I revisited this poetry and remembered Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV), “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

Cutting Words

Posted on

Cut! Cut! Cut!
Attempting to explain
Cut! Cut! Cut!
Attempting to explain
To seek the truth
By asking my son’s stance
Instead of assuming
Assuming he wriggles like a dog
In front of his grandma’s door

Cut! Cut! Cut!
This irked me to the core
Cutting my words
To justify her actions
Cutting my words
Insisting her own mindset
Insisting her own way
Babbling like a train
Instead of peaceful discussion
Cutting my words
With her ears closed
With her mouth closed
With her eyes closed
Refusing to listen
Refusing to see
The right perspective

How many times
Do our hearts are
Closed to God’s love
Closed to see God
Closed to find rest
In Jesus Christ?

This kind of conversation irritated me for keeping on cutting my explanation instead of listening after she blabbered. She was furious of revenge from her grandson to hit back. She was angry for him to hit his own dad.

When I probed my son and asked caringly, he responded he hit his dad playfully. His dad often played with him acting like a bad guy so he wanted to play that with his dad. Unexpectedly, she hit him for doing so and the revenge occurred. Heated arguments with my son and disciplined him, but he dashed to my mother out of fear.

Playing Button

Playing switch on off button
Switching light on then off and repeat
It again in order to
Amaze and soothe his or her cries
But it will lead the
Baby to turn out to take pleasure
In touching buttons without knowing
Its electrical danger upon oneself

Running around the house to
Play power switch buttons at the surroundings
Wherever baby can find at
His sight, without realizing its danger implication

Whenever remove baby from touching
Baby will be irritated, annoyed, infuriated, and
Smoke emerged out from head
He or she is fumed with anger!
From sob turns to weeping
From weeping to wailing then to shriek
And finally to shouting in
order to get his or
her way even though to no avail
Hence, history repeats itself daily.

The caregiver of my baby plays the lights’ buttons in order to entertain my eight months old baby. Now, my baby is nineteen months often getting near the buttons to touch it. So this reminded me of the consequence of sin mentioned in Numbers 5:30-31; 9:12-14; 18:21-23; 30:14-16; Ezekiel 16:57-59; 23:34-36,48-49; 44:9-13.

Illusion of life

The illusion
The illusion of life
The illusion
The illusion of life

Life is full of illusions
Especially today’s generation
In the generation of technologies
In the generation of mass media

Life is full of illusions
As our eyes play tricks on us
The magicians play tricks upon our eyes
The cartoons we watch also play tricks upon our eyes
Flipping papers to trick our eyes
To trick our eyes to see it moving
Even the films and movies we watch also play tricks upon our eyes
Flying superman, Spiderman crawling the wall
How the rainbow is created.

There is more in this life
There is something more in the world we see
There is something more in the world we live
In this beautiful world we see
Full of different kind of living things
Full of mysteries
In the mystery of how it is crafted
In the mystery of how it begins

Let’s find the Crafter of this world.

In the middle of the night, suddenly, a song was singing in my mind that hums repeatedly, “The Illusion. The illusion of life.” And the remaining came on Friday morning and night as I jot it down on my notebook.

The fascination towards this world’s design and beauty let us wonder that there is something that we can not see. We can see it from the book of Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” There is Someone who perfectly crafted the world we live in though there is something wrong due to human’s decision to cause the fallen world with so many devastation and calamity.
