Living in this world
Our energies are sapped
The Lord is the energy Giver
As we spend time with Him and live for Him
Planning our time will help us to prioritize our tasks

“Plan time” words came as I was wondering how to do my daily planning. Inserting the acronym E produced the acronym of PTE. Defining LTD was a challenge. Since Pte Ltd is the acronym of private limited company. Upon defining it, I do wonder my private time with my Lord helps me a lot to know Him and know myself.

The reason to limit ourselves is to prevent and avoid from drinks and strong drugs because these will destroy us financially, mentally, physically, psychologically and spiritually.

HR or HDR

Taking care of our babies to adulthood may seems a hassle
Though hassle, people and family also feels rewarding
Even our obedience to our Lord
May seems hard at times, but rewarding in time to come
And prevent us from inner and outer destruction
From the trap laid by the evil one
Who wants us to suffer with him in the abyss of fire.

“HR”, “HDR”, “Headache Rewarding” then “Headache But Rewarding” inspired me, while I was caressing my son to sleep. It was like the acronym then the definition came. Though taking care of my child is draining me, sometimes I feel rewarding whenever I was reminded of my family and friends told me that. HR stands for Human Resource department in the corporate world who are in charge of employing people. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range photography refers to the range of brightness levels that exist in a particular scene – from darkest – before complete and featureless black, to lightest – before complete featureless white according to http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/hdr.shtml.

Ego

Ego

Ego

Is ego or pride stopping us from reaching out to God?
Is ego or pride blinding us to the Truth?
Is ego or pride covering our eyes to see the world’s brokenness?
Is ego or pride covering our eyes to see our own frailty?
Is ego or pride preventing us from reflecting upon our motivations?
So can’t we push our ego aside?

In dictionary, ego means
1. the “I” or self of any person; a person as thinking, feeling, and willing, and distinguishing itself from the selves of others and from objects of its thought.
2. Psychoanalysis . the part of the psychic apparatus that experiences and reacts to the outside world and thus mediates between the primitive drives of the id and the demands of the social and physical environment.
3. egotism; conceit; self-importance: Her ego becomes more unbearable each day.
4. self-esteem or self-image; feelings: Your criticism wounded his ego.
5. (often initial capital letter) Philosophy

  • the enduring and conscious element that knows experience.
  • Scholasticism. the complete person comprising both body and soul.

Albert Einstein did mention,
“More the knowledge
Lesser the ego,
Lesser the knowledge
More the Ego”

Basically, ego means “I” is more important and what is inside will come out. Some people will tend to praise themselves and look down upon people by finding their faults. Until to the point that I can’t stand them and telling a friend to try to look at people’s goodness side. Nobody is perfect.

When a middle-aged woman was trying to make me angry, thank God to keep me calm through His Holy Spirit. Upon informing my parents, they were angry with me. Later on, my dad analysed the situation and laughed because I didn’t fall into that scheming woman’s trap. I hope that my Lord will be glorified. My dad analysed it slowly that there was no reaction from me made that scheming woman felt lost and couldn’t pick a fight. He explained it to my mum in a funny way so that my mum will learn from it. I also never expect that from my Lord. All glory to God.

Due to heavy rain and didn’t bring umbrella, my husband saw the thin recycled bag I used to put my purse, mobile phone, cards, etc. A light bulb appeared in him and suggested to use my bag to cover our 27 months toddler’s head. It is such a great idea.

On my way home from purchasing groceries, my bicycle almost hit another biker who dashed out of a lane, but both of us pressed the brake. Suddenly, the above inspirations were birthed out and later on revise it again.

Philippians 4:13 sparked the inspiration for third paragraph.

Anger

When angry, don’t say anything.
Bring it quickly to God.
Pray the Lord’s prayer.
Confide with God.
Converse with him.

Humble yourselves before God.
Seek God for forgiveness.
Pray for His supplication.
Pray for His comfort.
Then our anger subsides
And forgiveness sets into our hearts.
Quarrel is prevented.

The importance to confide in God is to enable us to get over our anger with the help of the Holy Spirit. Asking God for forgiveness for our sins for being selfish and then enable us to forgive those who cause us angry. Angry with people means that they have hurt our self-interest without our realization. Within a few minutes, words of comfort come and the root cause of our anger subsides. This is based on my experience on Wednesday night, which is on 17 August 2011.

This can be observed from

  1. James 4:1, “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?”
  2. Proverbs 17:14, “Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.”
  3. Proverbs 17:19, “Whoever loves a quarrelloves sin; whoever builds a high gate invites destruction.”
  4. Proverbs 18:1, “An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends and against all sound judgment starts quarrels.”
  5. Proverbs 20:3, “It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.”
  6. Ephesians 4:30-32, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
