Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of
faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

This acrostic idea came when I shredding paper. Since SP didn’t give any meaning, inserting “i” seemed suitable letter candidate than “a”. Sip gives the meaning of drinking and dwelling in Christ’s strength and protection. According to the free online dictionary, sip means
1. To drink in small quantities
2. A small quantity of liquid sipped

Upon thinking of sip and Yori’s idea, shield of faith verses inspired my poetry. Graphical design will help to illustrate this message better.

Designing the sip graphically challenged me. I feel to make the small letter “i” signify human’s frailty needing God’s grace and mercy. Then integrity will follow.

Acting Baby

Acting Baby

How many times do we jeopardize our safety due to curiosity?
Does Curiosity get the better of you thus endanger your existence?

This idea came when I was expressing the angry baby. Top and below definitions came and finally the middle definitions were filled in. He ever killed a passing by ant on the floor then laugh. Usually, he cried to get his way. Once his way was fulfilled, his cries turned into laugh in a second. I don’t explain much to him whenever he asked how he appears.

Sip

As we sleep peacefully
Enjoying our sleep
Knowing God is the One
The One who let us to dwell in safety.
Rest in Him after our labour for Him.

Psalm 4:7-8 (NIV)
Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Out of a sudden, “sleep in peace” makes the acronym of SIP. As I check dip from the dictionary, sip means to drink a little at a time; to take in; absorb. Then Psalm 4:8 echoed in my mind.

On my way home from purchasing groceries, my bicycle almost hit another biker who dashed out of a lane, but both of us pressed the brake. Suddenly, the above inspirations were birthed out and later on revise it again.

Philippians 4:13 sparked the inspiration for third paragraph.

Safety Belt

Refer: Genesis 2:6-8 and Psalm 139:12-14

Oxford dictionary defines Safety Belt as “a belt or strap securing a person to prevent injury, especially in a vehicle or aircraft.” Therefore, safety belt is meant for our own safety. It is available in baby trolley, baby chair, car, van, truck, and rides for children, helmet, and many others. The belt at the helmet is to prevent the helmet from falling out of your head.

How much more do we need to listen to God’s Word, His principles, statutes and commandments into our lives. His guidance is likened to a safety belt to prevent us from hurting ourselves spiritually and physically.

God is the creator of the universe and all that is within it including humans. He knows how we are made and formed – dust (Genesis 2:6-8) and when we are in our mothers’ womb (Psalm 139:12-14)

Why can’t we listen to God’s instructions?

We can read from Jeremiah 7:22-24 (KJV) showing God’s heart towards the Israelites to listen to His Word for their own good, “For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

Let us return to God,
The creator of all,
An Infinite Being who
Cares and loves us
His creation.

Repent of our sins
Repent of our stubbornness
Receive His salvation through Christ
Receive His instructions and follow it whole-heartedly.
