Sow to Reap

Posted on

Selfishness blind the hearts
Selfishness blind the minds
Full of self seeking
Without realizing
Greed, Hatred, Pride, Self justification grip the eyes
Nothing else satiates one’s void heart
These causing oneself
Groping in darkness
Sowing evil seeds
Evil ones torment oneself
Wicked living
Living in hell of conscience
Reaping unquenchable fire

Fear of the Lord open the hearts
Fear of the Lord open the minds
Full of caring others
Without realizing
Love, Care, Concern, Peace, Kindness, Goodness, Longsuffering,
Gentleness, Patience, Joy, Understanding, and Self Control grip the eyes
Nothing else satiates one’s full heart
These causing oneself
Brisk in the light
Sowing good seeds
Basking in God’s love
Righteous living
Living in paradise of conscience
Reaping heavenly rewards

Open your eyes
Which one is the best?
Choose what is best
What is your preference?
Any decision made?

Being in the bathroom is my favourite part of the day. It is when ideas and inspirations pop out such as images of poetry and stories. This time, “Groping in darkness Or Brisk in the light” popped out. Words flowed out upon revisiting it for two days being reminded of Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV), “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Soil

Soil

Is the soil of our hearts favourable for God’s seeds to grow and flourish?
Or do our inner hearts are inclined to sins favouring evil to flourish?
Who is the source of our inner living?
Who do we let to be the central of our inner living?
Our actions indirectly reflect our inner thoughts and lives
Is it the battle of our hearts and minds?
Battle between the best and worst life

Whenever I think of my source of income, its acronym is SOI. There seems to have no meaning in it so inserting L is the best. It signifies the soil of our heart. The dictionary describes soil as

  1. The top layer of the earth’s surface, consisting of rock and mineral particles mixed with organic matter.
  2. A particular kind of earth or ground: sandy soil.
  3. Country; land: native soil.
  4. The agricultural life: a man of the soil.
  5. A place or condition favorable to growth; a breeding ground.

Is our will in align with God?
Is our willpower strong enough to endure during hard times?
Your sowed seeds are before the eyes of God.
Align your will to Him and He will strengthen you.

According to Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary:
A) Sow means
1. To plant or spread sheets in or on the ground
2. To introduce or spread feelings or ideas, especially ones that cause trouble
B) Sheer means
1. Used to emphasize the size, degree or amount of something
2. Complete and not mixed with anything else

Sow is used figuratively to imply our seeds of motivation and actions. Sheer is to emphasize the vastness of willpower in our faith in Lord Jesus Christ.

Dark Seeds Into Heart & Mind

Seeds of
Miscommunications
Wrong assumptions
And
Jump to conclusion
Seeds seep in

Causing
Misunderstandings
Misconceptions
And
Fears
In hearts and minds

Birthing fruits of
Fear
Bitterness
Anger
Jealousy
And
Strife.

Beware!
Guard your heart!
Guard your mind!
Guard yourself.
With the help of
The Holy Spirit
Who is poured
Into our hearts.
Pray.

There are so many incidents of misconceptions and even wrong assumptions leading people to jump to the wrong conclusions. This case doesn’t just occur in television drama, but also in real life. This should alarm us and recognize our weaknesses and needing God’s grace and mercy.

Writing Poetry & The Bible

Posted on

Writing poetry is likened to
Sowing seed into the soil
Awaiting for
A tree to sprout out
And bear fruits ripe enough
To bless the hungry.
The ripe poetry is
To bless the specific audience.

The Bible is also likened to
Sowing seed into the soil
Awaiting for
A tree to sprout out
And bear fruits ripe enough
To bring smile upon God’s face.
The ripe heart is ready
To be free
And
To bless others through good works.

Seed & Fruit

Posted on

Seed of eternal life
Seed of love
Seed of faith
Seed of hope
All comes through Christ Jesus

As we abide in Him
More seeds are added

Seed of righteousness
Through Christ
Living in dependence through the
Holy Spirit

Fruits come out of it
Fruits of Love
Fruits of Joy
Fruits of Peace
Fruits of Longsuffering
Fruits of Kindness
Fruits of Goodness
Fruits of Gentleness
Fruits of Patience
Fruits of Self control

Bringing glory to the Father
Bringing glory to our Father in Heaven
Bringing glory to our Abba Father
Who gives us eternal life
Through His beloved Son, Prince of Peace
For in Him, there is no darkness
The Light will dispels darkness.

Suddenly, the word, “seed” echoing in my mind as I was pondering in developing character that will please the Lord.

Inspiration from

  1. Galatians 5:22-24 (KJV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
  2. Ephesians 5:9-11 (KJV)
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
