Party Animal

Do animals party?
How animals party?
Are we like animals?
Do people behave like animals?
The strong devour the weak
And even
The weak devour the strong
Is the society turning into cities of jungles?
Are cities jungles of animals?

Hunger for power
Distracts the heart
Jealousy
Blinds the minds
Empty promises
Enter the ears
Physical appearance
Cover the eyes

What are we?
Where are we?
When do we want to change?
Which do we choose to be?
Who are we?
Why are we the way we are?
How do our Creator sees us?
Do we care what we are becoming into?

Upon pondering of party animals and observing today’s society, the above inspiration birthed out. A party animal is a term being used as a description of people who enjoys party with beer and wines. An idea of associating city with jungle is a paradox to wake the people up to stop the bullying of each other, to do self-reflection and to look beyond a person’s physical appearances. First of all, these reminded me of 2 Timothy 3:1-7 (KJV), “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” God bless you all for reading my poetry of pondering questions to minister.

Are we careful and aware what are going on inside of us?
Inside of our hearts
Inside of our minds
Inside of our spirits.
Does our inner character defines us and reflect God’s love and glory?

John 13:34-35 (NIV)
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.

1 Corinthians 1:1-3 (NKJV)
Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 (NKJV)
And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

2 Timothy 1:8-10 (NCV)
So do not be ashamed to tell people about our Lord Jesus, and do not be ashamed of me, in prison for the Lord. But suffer with me for the Good News. God, who gives us the strength to do that, saved us and made us his holy people. That was not because of anything we did ourselves but because of God’s purpose and grace. That grace was given to us through Christ Jesus before time began, but it is now shown to us by the coming of our Savior Christ Jesus. He destroyed death, and through the Good News he showed us the way to have life that cannot be destroyed.

The above poetry came to me as I was defining the recent CD (Character Development) acrostic poetry. Normally, IC stands for Identity Card.

Though I have defined the acronym of CD before, the above definition came as I was writing the Pd (Personal Development).

Does a media we listen and/or watch affects our attitude towards life?
Does that media beneficial for our inner-self and even our mind and hearts?

I Corinthians 6:12-14 (KJV)
All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

1 Corinthians 10:23 (KJV)
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Ephesians 4:28-32 (KJV)
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

2 Timothy 3:1-3 (NIV)
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good.

Suddenly, the word “Art declines” came to my mind then “Attitude declines” and realise its acronyms are AD and the Scripture of Corinthians “Everything is permissible, but not beneficial” spoke to me. AD stands for Anno Domini, which means In the Year of Our Lord (and the lord is Jesus). This reminded me of the Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to Timothy.

Is there any personal development in us as we walk in Christ Jesus?

Romans 6:18-19 (KJV)
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Romans 8:26-27 (KJV)
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

1 Thessalonians 4:6-8 (NIV)
And that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.

Normally, Pd is used as a short form for paediatric among parents’ communication. But it also means the Personal Development in us when we receive Christ in our lives. The Holy Spirit in us is working to help us in our weakness to be more like Jesus.
