Small to Mountain

Posted on

This sharing may sound quite absurd and extreme. This was during my teenage years when I was 17 years old and pre-believer phase of life. Playing cards is fun with my family. Whoever loses will shuffle the cards and/or drink water. But when I play with my friends, the one who lose will drink water. After three rounds, they choose to play with money by betting ten cents. The winner will get ten cents from every player. From then on, I refuse to join whenever it involves money. So I just sat there and watch them play. This is because I feel that gambling starts from small.

Sin also starts from small. Saving money also starts from small amounts. Small amounts accumulated consistently will make a big mountain.

With the rise of casino in a few countries such as Los Angelos, Macau, Malaysia Genting, and recently Singapore, don’t we need to take extra- measure of carefulness and vigilance to guard our heart and mind? What do you all think?

Win

Win

Win

Hastiness to fulfil wishes and wants costs a huge price.
King Saul’s hastiness cost him losing God’s favour. (Genesis & 1;2 Samuel)
How long do we persevere?

James 1:2-4 KJV
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Upon observing my toddler, it started with the inspirations, “I want it now”. When I remove the “I”, it makes the acronym of “Win”. There are those who are hasty to be rich through the wrong path are inflicting pain upon themselves and their family. Few accumulate riches through honest means. Those who are struggling in difficulties will either commit suicide or persevere. My dad persevered during hard times and now he seems satisfied though not rich. He has enough for old age.

Storyline

In a storyline
Protagonist and antagonist
Fight each other.

Even the protagonist is at odd with oneself.
It does not spare the antagonist.

Enslaver and enslaved
Are also against each other.
Either win or lose.

In a battle
Be it great or small
There is only
Win or Lose

Storyline is like
A depiction of real life
Humans are always
At war with each other

In real life,
Some hunger more power
Some seek to live quietly
Some are like tyrants
Some are oppressed
Some craves more land
Some choose contentment.

Win or Lose?
Why not fair fair?
Is it so hard for humans to live in peace with each other?
