Loving us too much
He willingly sacrifice Himself
To rescue us from death
Death from sins
To give us eternal life

Suddenly, inserting O into the words “self sacrifice” produced the acronym of SOS. Then the idea to improvise came into place. Thank God. Because SOS stands for Save Our Soul. As I was going to upload schedule this, suddenly another definition spoke to me, “Salvation Of Our Saviour”.
This sharing may sound quite absurd and extreme. This was during my teenage years when I was 17 years old and pre-believer phase of life. Playing cards is fun with my family. Whoever loses will shuffle the cards and/or drink water. But when I play with my friends, the one who lose will drink water. After three rounds, they choose to play with money by betting ten cents. The winner will get ten cents from every player. From then on, I refuse to join whenever it involves money. So I just sat there and watch them play. This is because I feel that gambling starts from small.
Sin also starts from small. Saving money also starts from small amounts. Small amounts accumulated consistently will make a big mountain.
With the rise of casino in a few countries such as Los Angelos, Macau, Malaysia Genting, and recently Singapore, don’t we need to take extra- measure of carefulness and vigilance to guard our heart and mind? What do you all think?

I was exhausted with yesterday’s outing to get a good bargain for my freelance work. Upon waking up, headache worsens with tight painful shoulders and lack of concentration. Thank God that today is a good Friday, an office holiday so my husband isn’t working and can take care of my son. Then I realized how much more pain my Lord Jesus need to endure when he was flogged, carrying the cross and being nailed on the cross. My heart began to understand Him better and filled with thankfulness. Afterward, I whispered to my son of remembering Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.

While playing flags with my 25 months old toddler near the window, suddenly an inspiration came to me to label a flag “Here am I, I am here” out of the window to inform my future friends who are coming to my flat for cell group meeting. Oh I wish to host cell group meeting at my home.
Afterwards, more cries came upon me – he pressures of life in family, relationships, and even work. Feeling stuck with numerous tasks at hand reminded me of stuck in the swamp and attempted to rise out of it. But it is a futile attempt when the swamp is swallowing your body. You need a Saviour to save you by pulling you out of it.
The scripture from Isaiah 6:8 “Here am I; send me” also partly inspires the above songs. Though the context of the Scripture is Isaiah’s willingness to listen to God’s calling as a prophet, the above song is to call upon God to save the souls who are crying desperately to Him and embrace God’s salvation through Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Just after accepting the Lord Jesus Christ into my life, reading the Bible is like an obligation to me. But as time goes by, reading the Bible is not a hassle, instead it helps a lot in my life and I long for Moses encounter with God (Exodus 33:11).
