SS asks me whether I am afraid of being alone with her. I say no because I am sketching. Deep down I feel awkward for my business mentor to tell me that SS is my spiritual mother. Misa and her listen to my problems. She shares the reason she wants me to continuously come to her shop. It is meant to encourage the oppressed to be encouraged. I feel so happy to see my business mentor coming to SS hair salon. Today, she looks approachable. I am shocked she brings the wrong cream. It is body and hand cream. She is supposedly to bring the hair colour cream. Misa points it out. After trim her hair, we have a good conversation. My husband said that I am like a woodblock. They also ask whether I enjoy making love. I say no. Then I listen to the Lord to confess my sin to them that I wear boys clothes. I begin to share my business mentor’s words, “you are not a woman” makes feel guilty. It reminds me of my childhood. I wear boy’s clothes. After I wear then it was passed to my brother. When I want to pay her for quasha, she doesn’t want it. Appreciate her quasha on my head, neck and shoulders. The clock struck 6:30pm and she returns home. SS and Misa listens to my issues. I also share my observation and testify God’s goodness. Then SS has dinner with me and listen to my issues.

I was enjoying the short film and the talk by Talya Lavie, an Israelite filmmaker who is born in 1978, comes from an animation background and decides to do more films. She raises her funds through two Israel filmmaking foundations. Her first film ‘Zero Motivation’ wins Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Narrative Feature, and Nora Ephron Prize award in Tribeca Film Festival 2014. I learn from her that she believes in her own stories and persists in her own filmmaking journey by producing short animation and films. In her animation production, she doesn’t interact with people. However, there are many communications with people in her filmmaking journey. God bless you all for reading my poetry to minister.

Bible and heart inspired this poetry as I attempted to understand “out, in, on” the contrast it made. First stanza beautifully flowed out then next day, the second stanza birthed out of the first stanza.

O Sleeper

O sleeper
Wake up!
Arise!
Resurrect!
In the power of the Holy Spirit
Received upon accepting
Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour
Accepting His Lordship in your lives

Are you awakened?
Have you arisen from your sleep?
Do you resurrect from death?

Praise God’s holy name
Worship Him
Declare His goodness

Love from God descends upon Mary’s womb like a
Dove descends upon Jesus Christ after His baptism

Holy Spirit comes from God to strengthen us in love
Holy Spirit is manifested in the form of a gentle dove

Dove is a soft and gentle bird so let us
Love one another as Jesus has loved us

Since Lord Jesus’ love fill our aching hearts
Let us be like a dove, which is gentle in nature

Then this world is injected with love and care
Where no fight among people as dove dwells peacefully

Then this world will be filled with God’s peace and joy
Warmth fills everyone’s hearts who hungers love

Abandonment is the most painful feelings and memories. Thinking of it, some words define the acronym of abandon. But writing blocks occurred. Next day, more words define every letter and stuck again. Until the final day, all the blanks are completely filled in.

Suddenly, “admit defeat” came when I was thinking of my friend’s mother in law. She kept on speaking to take care of her grandson, but she gives up after two weeks of care giving. Then she returned to her own country. That means she is admitting defeat.

Argh! I’m supposed to sleep, but “lack of movement” words with acronym ‘Loom’ drove me to jot this down then sleep. According to the free dictionary loom means in verbs

1. To come into view as a massive, distorted, or indistinct image
2. To appear to the mind in a magnified and threatening form
3. To seem imminent; impend

Loom is explained in noun that it is a distorted, threatening appearance of something, as through fog or darkness. When we choose to live according to God’s instruction, His blessings are upon us.

Sow to Reap

Selfishness blind the hearts
Selfishness blind the minds
Full of self seeking
Without realizing
Greed, Hatred, Pride, Self justification grip the eyes
Nothing else satiates one’s void heart
These causing oneself
Groping in darkness
Sowing evil seeds

Fear of the Lord open the hearts

Being in the bathroom is my favourite part of the day. It is when ideas and inspirations pop out such as images of poetry and stories. This time, “Groping in darkness Or Brisk in the light” popped out. Words flowed out upon revisiting it for two days being reminded of Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV), “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

This began with a guest staying in my house. Upon seeing my parents sat together in the kitchen, she banged the door (due to jealousy) then went out. Normally, she wouldn’t bang the door before my dad came. So I was thinking to add into the house rule, “In your anger, please do not bang the door.” Actually, this idea is inspired from Ephesians 4:22-32 (KJV), “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
